A Legacy of Protection, Honor, and Purpose

At PPE Kids, our mission is rooted in something deeper than policies and paperwork—it’s built on a legacy of protection and service that spans generations.
For our founder, Bob Wilson, that legacy began straight out of high school when he joined the U.S. Infantry, serving three years with honor. The values of loyalty, perseverance, and duty became more than military principles—they became life principles.

After his time in the military, Bob continued serving others—as a youth minister, a coach, and a mentor to young people. He even opened a recording studio geared toward high school students, completely free of charge, to encourage creativity and a love of music in a safe, supportive environment.
These experiences shaped how he led, how he raised his family, and how he built an organization committed to safeguarding the most vulnerable among us.
That same spirit of service lives on in his sons:
-
His youngest son served in the Army Reserves, specializing in Signal to support vital communications.
-
His middle child is currently on active duty as a Combat Engineer at Fort Bliss, Texas, continuing the family’s hands-on commitment to building and protecting.
Even before that, Bob’s grandfather served behind the scenes during World War II, helping design aircraft parts essential to the Allied war effort. His contribution was quiet but powerful—proof that service takes many forms.
This deep family history of defending what matters most is the heart behind PPE Kids (a nonprofit that he co-founded with his wife). We believe protecting children is a sacred duty, not just a responsibility. The same way soldiers defend a nation, we defend the innocence and safety of every child we’re privileged to serve.
As we grow, we are committed to hiring and supporting disabled veterans, creating meaningful employment opportunities for those who have already given so much. For us, it’s not charity—it’s honor. It’s one more way we serve those who’ve served us all.
